After surgery, a burn or any other kind of trauma, the skin heals by producing collagen where the wound is.
If nothing is done, this natural process can create an actual barrier within the skin that inteferes with cellular exchanges. Beyond its unsightly appearance, the scar can then create functional problems: for example, limiting range of motion, causing pain, or interfering with how certain organs work.
The medical endermologie® technique’s draining and defibrosing properties allow scars and burn scars to be painlessly worked on at an early stage. First, it helps to eliminate waste so as to effectively drain the tissue and prevents the formation of scar adherences related to fibrosis. Next, this treatment stimulates natural collagen and elastin production to improve the healing process in order to ease pain and restore mobility. Thanks to medical endermologie® sessions, it is possible to work on all kinds of scars and to prevent the need for additional surgery. - Recent scars still showing signs of inflammation - Old scars - Surgical or traumatic scars - Burns, even after skin grafts - Post-caesarean - Scleroderma

One example is that of a patient we had after he was in a car accident. The burns extended to his abdomen, back, and both arms.He had to undergo numerous grafts and had axillary bands which significantly limited joint mobility in both shoulders. We immediately began physical rehabilitation using the medical endermologie® technique. I was able to work on the band’s tension points and help him quickly regain mobility in his shoulders. We were also able to treat the areas where grafts had been taken and thus help them heal much faster. We had very positive results.
